Part 1 ยท Week 1: Created with Purpose (Identity in Christ)
Day 4 of 365
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) - "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
Your 'Futuristic' and 'Ideation' strengths mean you live with one foot in tomorrow, constantly envisioning what could be. This verse is God's personal promise to the futurist in you. While you are busy drawing up business plans and life strategies, remember that the ultimate blueprint has already been drafted by a sovereign and loving God. This doesn't negate your planning, but rather grounds it in a profound sense of peace and purpose.
Notice the source of the plan: "declares the Lord." This isn't a motivational quote; it's a divine decree. The nature of the plan is for your welfare, not for disaster. And the outcome of the plan is hope and a future. This promise provides the ultimate risk management for your life's portfolio. It empowers you to take bold, calculated risks in business and in life, knowing that your ultimate security and prosperity are guaranteed by God Himself. It frees you to dream big, not just for your own legacy, but for the part you will play in God's eternal story.
Lord, thank you for having a plan for my life that is good and full of hope. Help me to align my strategic thinking with Your divine will. Give me the courage to follow Your blueprint, even when it leads me down unexpected paths. Amen.
Write down one of your biggest goals for the next five years. Below it, write out Jeremiah 29:11 as a personal declaration of trust in God's sovereign plan for that area of your life.
